The Beginning

From Lab Experiment to Product

Rally HQ was born in the labs of Signal x Studio as an exploration into what's possible when AI agents collaborate with human developers.

We wanted to answer a question: Can agentic AI build real, production-grade software? Not toy demos or weekend projects, but software that people actually rely on.

The answer, it turns out, is yes, but with important caveats. AI excels at rapid prototyping, pattern recognition, and tireless iteration. Humans remain essential for product vision, user empathy, and the countless judgment calls that make software feel right.

The Problem

Tournament software was stuck in 2010

We'd seen it firsthand: organizers juggling spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and clunky desktop apps that required a laptop at the sand court.

Beach volleyball tournaments shouldn't require a command center. You should be able to run check-in, update scores, and announce winners all from your phone while standing on the sand.
